These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Amethyst Scene app, website, and related services provided by Amethyst Scene (“Amethyst Scene,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using Amethyst Scene, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
Amethyst Scene is a language and vocabulary application intended for personal, educational, and professional use. You may use the service only in compliance with applicable law.
2. Accounts and Access
Certain features may require sign-in or a paid subscription. You are responsible for maintaining the security of any device or account through which you access the service.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Some features may be available only through a paid subscription.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple using your App Store account.
- Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled in accordance with Apple’s policies.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date in your App Store settings.
- We may change pricing or subscription structure in the future, subject to applicable notice and platform requirements.
4. Intellectual Property
The Amethyst Scene app, its software, interface, branding, design, and original content are owned by Amethyst Scene or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Lexical source materials and other third-party materials remain subject to their respective licenses, terms, and attribution requirements.
5. Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Amethyst Scene for lawful personal or internal use.
You may not:
- copy, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the app except as permitted by law;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where such restrictions are prohibited by law;
- use the service in a way that interferes with its operation, integrity, or security.
6. Availability and Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or part of the service at any time.
We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
7. Content and Accuracy
Amethyst Scene is provided as a language reference and vocabulary tool. Although we aim for quality and accuracy, we do not guarantee that definitions, relationships, examples, tags, or other lexical content will always be complete, current, or free from error.
You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of any information before relying on it.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by:
- attempting unauthorized access to systems or data;
- interfering with app functionality or stability;
- using the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amethyst Scene is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amethyst Scene and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the service, in whole or in part, if necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, or enforce these Terms.
You may stop using the service at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
